TUITION
TBMS Policies 2024-2025
Attendance Policy
The Brooklyn Music Studio expects regular attendance from both the children and the parents. If a parent is not able to attend a lesson due to an emergency, we urge you to send your substitute with a recording device and take notes so you can maintain the continuity of practicing at home. In case of a child's absence is unavoidable because of illness or a family emergency, parents are requested to notify the teacher as soon as possible, explaining that the child will be absent and giving the reason for the absence. Insufficient practicing, or absences for birthday parties or other social occasions are not considered valid reasons for absence.
Lesson and Class Make-up Policy
Teachers are required to make up lessons and classes that they miss. Teachers are not required to make up lessons missed by the students. However, if a student is absent from the lesson for a valid reason, you must contact the teacher and The Brooklyn Music Studio to see if a make up lesson is possible.
Refunds and Withdrawals
Students register for the full year of instruction. If within the first three weeks of the school year a family encounters an emergency which requires withdrawing the child from the School, the School will make a tuition refund on a pro-rated basis.
Tuition and Payments
FULL PROGRAM Tuition is calculated based on the length of the private lesson (30 weeks of class.) Tuition may be paid in a one-time payment at the beginning of the year or on a monthly basis.
