Hello Korean Families,
안녕하세요,
제 이름은 박진아입니다.
My name is Jinah Park,
Welcome to the No-Re-Se-Sang page. 노래( pronounced No-Re) means Song. 세상(pronounced Se-Sang) means World. A World filled with Songs!
In 2000, I moved to Brooklyn from Korea to pursue a master’s degree in Piano Performance and have been a proud Brooklynite ever since.
I am a professional pianist and music educator. I teach piano students of all ages and all levels. I have also taught classroom music in schools. In recent years, I have become passionate about teaching early childhood music class as a “ Music Together®” instructor. “Music Together®” is a fantastic and very well known program for families with babies and toddlers.
I am also a mom to my 13 year old daughter! While my classes are designed and based on my experience working with early childhood students, they are inspired by my journey as a parent helping my daughter to understand, speak, read and write in Korean from her early years on. Greeting each other hello in Korean and singing Korean nursery songs that I myself grew up with, and that many of you may have also known, brings us great joy!
I look forward to engaging students and parents in speaking, reading (and writing eventually, too!) in Korean. And, music and singing will be the perfect vehicle for that!
I hope my classes will become a companion in your family’s journey in Korean language and culture.
감사합니다!
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Jinah Park

Korean Family Sing Along
11-11:45 am *Seats available
12-12:45 pm *Seats available
This weekly, in-person class is designed for babies, young toddlers (recommended ages 0 to 2.5/3.5 years), and their parents. It is a wonderful opportunity for Korean-English bilingual families, as well as anyone interested in experiencing the Korean language through children's songs. No prior fluency in Korean is required—everyone is welcome!
The class opens with Jinah at the piano singing her original "Hello" (안녕하세요!) song. Families will learn well-known Korean children's songs, as well as original and adapted songs by Jinah, through movement and props. While singing, families will naturally become familiar with Korean vocabulary, including colors, numbers, animals, and more. The class concludes with the "Good-bye" (안녕히 계세요) song, another original piece by Jinah.
Important Information:
- Capacity: Limited to 6–9 families per class.
- Stroller Policy: Due to space constraints on the second floor, we cannot accommodate full-size strollers. Umbrella or foldable strollers are permitted inside the studio.
